The Golf Tournament again this year 2005 was a great success. This year almost all of the holes had an event or display at the tee box.

We raised $33,000 which our beneficiaries will appreciate tremendously.

As always Hole #1 is where you get to purchase the raffle tickets for the draws at the Ceilidh. Also this year we had a 50-50 chance a getting a prize if we drew the right golf ball out of the bag.

On hole # 2 there was a display by the Ste Anne's Veterans Hospital. They were letting us know that this is the year of the Veteran and they were giving out commemorative pins to the golfers.

Hole #3 saw Ed Ed Rusenstrom take the trophy, he just wasn't satisfied with beating us with a ringer filled lineup on our hockey trip to Shawville, he had to take something else back.

Hole #4 was the closest to the pin hole and was sponsored by Killick Fisheries and Moosehead beer. This was won by John McCarthy hope the lobster was good John.

The men's longest drive on hole # 5, sponsored by Cunningham's Pub, was won by  Matt Shipley with a drive of 305 yards.

Hole #6 was an  interesting hole, the one where you make a little money($5000.00) but alas no one got a hole in one on this longish par 3. Maybe next year someone will take home the cheque

The Montreal Children's Hospital had their display set up on hole # 7. The Hospital is our primary beneficiary. Christina Straughton took over for her mother (Shirley) this year.

Hole #8 was sponsored by Millennium Golf. it was another closest to the pin event on a par 3 of around 150 yards.  Jeff Russell was the closest just 2 feet away from the hole.

The Par 5 9th did not have any event or at least no sponsored event.

The 10th Hole is the Mingo-McEwen funds thank you hole. This is where Kym, Shirl and the rest of Rowan-Harris clan was ready to give out the gift for this year which was a cosmetic travel kit.

On the11th Hole a mid to long par 3 sponsored by Killick and Moosehead., Andrew Newnham was the closest at 4 feet.

On the 12th hole a dog leg right par four there was a display by Rivell Athletics. They had an insert for a hockey helmet that could reduce the impact. this could help reduce the number of concussions in hockey.

Millennium Golf  sponsored the women's longest drive on hole #13 and it was won by GiGi Youssef with a drive of 171 yards.

Hole # 14 holds one of our most popular events, the Toonie toss. This year we added a team toonie toss.

The fix had to be on Hole #17, a closest to the pin event sponsored by the MMF and won by none other than Mr. Brent (no pass) Mingo.

The Most Honest foursome went to Kendra (Special K) Griffiths, Tracy (Little T) Griffiths, Steve(7) George and Silvia (Silly) Latour, with a score of 19 over par. They had better stop practicing, they came close to losing their title this year.

The Best foursome with a score of 8 under par was Robin Dickson, Dave Dunlop, Gary Fendt and Matt Humes.
