The 8th Edition Mingo-McEwen Fund Golf  Tournament was played under just glorious conditions as usual despite the presence of rain up until 5 am of the morning in question.

The Golf Tournament was attended by 160 golfers and over 40 volunteers both of whom , from all reports, enjoyed the day immensely.

There were enough events and things to do on the course to keep everyone entertained during the delays that are inevitable at a tournament like this.

There were some memorable happenings that day not the least of which was that this was the tenth anniversary of the Mingo-McEwen Fund. Joey Lane was able to participate to a greater degree this year, maybe you got to see him driving around the course with Bob

.

This being the Tenth Anniversary an alumni hockey game was arranged between players from the first ever hockey team from John Abbott and the "MMF Hasbeens". The "Hasbeens" were dispatched by the Alumni quite handily. To see some pictures of the debacle click here.

On the First hole each foursome had the chance to draw for a prize.

The Tenth hole has representatives of the Harris family who are very happy to give out the Thank you gift from the MMF every year.

This past year has also seen an MMF Kids Division form and become very involved in the Charity. They were there that rainy day in May giving away saplings at the Morgan Arboretum during the Tree Climbers competition and they even came back the next day to finish it off. Many congrats to them for all they have achieved this year and hope to achieve in the future.
