Since 2005, when the Mingo-McEwen Fund Comedy Night started, with Neil Janna as our Master of Ceremonies, we have seen twenty-one up and coming comedians from Franco Taddeo to Joey Elias to Heidi Fleiss a wide range of comedy types. In that time they have entertained over 1700 people and helped to raise almost $50,000 for the Mingo-McEwen Fund. The early years saw us at the Ceilidh on the Macdonald Campus and then we moved to Harpell Center in Ste Anne de Bellevue for a couple of years before moving to our latest location in Ile Perrot. Starting in 2008 the night has been called the Pierre Drolet Ugly Shirt night after one of the Funds many devoted supporters who passed away earlier that year. Pierre was noted for wearing a Hawaiian shirt to these comedy nights and since then prizes have been awarded for best or worst looking Hawaiian shirt depending on your point of view.
This year the night is on May 6, 2010 at the Centre Communautaire Paul Emile-Lepine 150 Blvd Perrot, L’Ile Perrot starting at 6:30 pm with light snacks and cocktails. The show will start at 8:00 pm with raffle prizes and other presentations during the break.

Comedy Night 2009 The MMF 6th Annual Ugly Shirt Comedy Night featuring Neil Janna as MC was a success with over $12,000 raised in support of the Mingo-McEwen Fund and its benefactors the Montreal Children's Hospital, Ste. Anne Veteran's Hospital The Cheshire Foundation and the West Island Palliative Care Unit. The 350 plus audience was treated to an evening of comedy that only Neil could have put together for our enjoyment. The Comedy was followed by a dance that was enjoyed by those that remained.	2010 Comedy Night The Mingo-McEwen Fund held it's 7th Annual Comedy night on the 8th of May at the Centre Communautaire, Paul Emile-Lepine in Ile Perrot. Prior to the first act there were some tasty sandwiches and vegetables to munch on while watching the first period of the Montreal-Pittsburgh playoff hockey game. The MC for the evening was Neil Janna who did a terrific job of entertaining us and presenting the three comedians Kevin Gasior, Ali Hassan, and Franco Taddeo who were able to keep us in stitches all night. Thanks to you and our sponsors we were able to raise $5000.00.
